10th refinery of South Pars – Phase 19

Development plan for the 19th phase of the South Pars gas field in June 2009 by the Pars oil and Gas Company (POGC) and in the form of an EPC contract to as consortium consisting of Petropars Limited and Petropars Iran (for the implementation of inshore facilities and drilling operations) and the engineering company Iran’s marine facilities (for the construction and implementation of marine platforms and submarine pipelines) were handed over. South Pars phase 19 onshore facilities are located on the edge of the Persian Gulf, in Tombak region with and area of about 218 hectares between South Pars Phases 11 and 12 refineries and in Pars two special energy economic zone. The offshore platforms of this project are located at a distance of about 110 kilometers from the coast of the Persian Gulf.

Phase 19 of South Pars includes four (3+1) offshore platforms including twenty-one (15+6) wells at a distance of 110 kilometers from the Kangan coast, two lines of 32-inch offshore gas transmission pipelines with an approximate length of 110 kilometers (each), two 4-inch marine pipeline for transporting monoethylene glycol solution (MEG) with an approximate length of 110 kilometers (each), a 36-inch marine pipeline of the gas condensate terminal with an approximate length of 6 kilometers and two 18-inch offshore pipelines between satellite and main platforms with a total length of approximately 15 kilometers.

Input feed

The goal of implementing the 19th phase of South Pars is to extract 56.6 million cubic meters of rich gas from the reservoirs. In this refinery, sweet gas is injected into the IGAT number 6 for internal use and the gas condensate separated in the refinery is also exported through the submarine pipeline and SBM, and the produced LPG is also for export or use in petrochemicals inside the country.
